Cirque du Soleil Varekai

Expect Manila to be amazed by the Cirque du Soleil performance of Varekai.
Varekai means wherever in the language of the Romanis. Varekai is a tribute to
the nomadic soul and to the spirit and art of the circus tradition.

Varekai debuted in 2002. After a 3 year touring hiatus, Cirque du Soleil was ready
to perform under the new artistic direction of Guy Champagne. Inspiration came
from the Greek Mythology - Fall of Icarus. Varekai is the story of a boy who landed
in the jungle and must find it in himself to fly again.

Manila.

Grand Chapiteau is 165 feet wide and has cupolas 52 feet high. This Big Top
can comfortably seat 2500 people. Safety first - Grand Chapiteau is made of
flame resistant canvas. None other than the illustrious Voileries du Sud-Ouest
manufactures the Big Top.
